Are you using the touchpad but it won't click on anything?
If you are having a problem with the touch pad, try a Hard Reset first. Sometimes the hardware just needs this simple tweek.
Hard Reset

Turn off your Chromebook.

Press and hold Refresh+ tap Power.

When your Chromebook starts up, release Refresh
Check Settings - Enable Touchpad
If that doesn't work, we will need to get to the Settings to make sure the trackpad has been enabled.
To do that follow these instructions or listen and watch the video below.
- Press Alt + Shift + S to bring up the settings menu
- Press Tab until get to the little gear (Shift+Tab goes back ), press Enter to go into the gear
- Press Tab again until you get to the “Device” option. Press Enter to go to the device settings
- Press Tab until you get to Touchpad (again, Shift+Tab to go back if you go too far), Then Enter to bring up touchpad settings
- Press Tab until you get to the option to change. “Enable Tap to Click” is the first thing so you only press Tab once
- Press the Spacebar to alternate between the choice being on or off
- After enabling the trackpad, press Shift+Cntrl+w to close the window.
